Lobbying, Grassroots, & Advocacy

We are registered lobbyists for various clients and attend high-level policy meetings to represent and advocate for their clients’ interests. In addition to direct lobbying, BSG’s services including regular communications with policy makers and their staff, grassroots advocacy activities including Hill Days, letter writing campaigns, and policy briefings. 

Content Development

We regularly provide tailored memorandums, action alerts, legislative articles, newsletters, blog posts, fact sheets, powerpoints, issue papers, and policy briefs for our clients. 

Event Management

BSG plans, coordinates, and runs many different types of events for our clients, including Hill days, policy briefings, forums, luncheons, round-table style discussions. Every four years, BSG helps organize NCTET’s Education Inaugural Ball––Celebrating Education in the Digital Age, a black tie affair in Washington, DC.


Coalition Leadership

BSG effectively develops and manages coalitions by organizing and running quarterly board meetings, developing and facilitating Congressional briefings, soliciting sponsorships, and coordinating all activities related to upcoming events. We also work closely with most of the major K-12 education organizations and coalitions in the DC area. 

Legislative Tracking & Analysis

BSG provides our clients with frequent updates on policy issues including legislative analyses, hearing memorandums, and timely legislative updates as bills move in Congress.

Nonprofit Management

Jon serves as Executive Director of the National Coalition for Technology in Education and Training (NCTET), a non-profit, non-partisan organization that supports the use of technology to improve education and hosts the NCTET’s Inaugural Ball. In that role, he runs board meetings, manages the budget and coordinates all events and activities.
